The Bacterial / Viral Bioinformatics Resource Center User Facility: No

The Bacterial / Viral Bioinformatics Resource Center (BV-BRC) is developing comparative analysis tools for infectious disease research and serves a large user community. BV-BRC is funded by the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) and comprised of University of Chicago and Argonne researchers in its Computing, Environment and Life Sciences (CELS) directorate as well as partner institutions. The project employs AI for several functionalities, including large-scale data curation, predicting antimicrobial resistance phenotypes and genomic regions, predicting genome quality, and using AI methods for genome annotation.
